Members Only – An all-inclusive weekend camping trip in the Jemez Mountains near the Rio Cibolla — a great chance to get out, camp with the group, and enjoy the mountains before summer gets away from us.
If you’re heading to Ouray in August, this is also the perfect shakedown run to test your gear, sleeping setup, recovery kit, and anything else you want dialed before the big trip.
The Details Saturday July 18th through Sunday July 19th. Plan for a 2 hour drive from Albuquerque. Camp coordinates will be sent out internally to 505 Offroad members one week before the trip.
What to Expect Dispersed camping in the Santa Fe National Forest near the Rio Cibolla. Tall pines, cooler temps, and good company. The Rio Cibolla offers fishing nearby, so if you plan to fish make sure you have a valid New Mexico fishing license before you head out.
Everyone cooks for themselves — bring your own food, camp stove or grill, and whatever you need for meals. Bring your camp setup, firewood, and anything else you’d want for a relaxed overnight in the mountains.
Who Can Come This event is open to all 505 Offroad members. No rig requirements — come out however you get there.
Note: The road into camp is a rough forest road. Stock high-clearance vehicles will do just fine. Trailers fit. Reach out if you have any questions about getting there.
