The Route: We’ll start on the north end near Magdalena and climb our way up to roughly 10,000 feet across 38 miles of trail, hitting two fire lookouts along the way — Mount Withington Lookout and Grassy Lookout. Plan for a full day on the trail with an estimated return to Albuquerque around 3:30–4:00 PM.
Trail Rating: 3 easy terrain, but it’s a long day with elevation about 40 miles of trail most of it is fire-roads with some ruts and rough spots.
Rig Limit: 10 rig limit on this run to keep it fun
What to Bring: Full tank of gas, food, water and snacks for an all-day ride, and a radio.
